Call of the Shofars

"Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament!2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!" [Ps 150:1-6]

"Sing to the LORD with the harp With the harp and the sound [BLAST] of a psalm,6 With trumpets[SHOFAR] and the sound of a horn; Shout joyfully before the LORD, the King." [Ps 98:5-7]

Transformation Michigan is working with Pastor Bill Hodge of Lansing who travels nationally and internationally in Shofar ministry (See article below by Pastor Hodge). We are trusting that we can gather 300 Shofars in Michigan to gather around strategic locations in Michigan with intercessors. We can change the spiritual climate around universities, Dearborn, mosques, Lansing, city governments and other places God would call us to.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to get the word out and sign up as an army of Shofars is coming together in Michigan.

PURPOSE OF SHOFARS:

The Shofar is designed to break down spiritual walls and the bondages that hold people captive. It sends confusion into the enemies camp. The word horn always denote power in the Bible. The Shofar is the first mentioned musical instrument in the Bible in the praising of God. In the NT it is called a trumpet.

THE SHOFAR IS like a voice and realize it is not a man made instrument.

  1. A cry of war – alarm for battle
  2. Instrument of Worship
  3. Calling of the intercessors - Congregation
  4. Confusing the Enemy
  5. Movement of the Camp
"When I blow the trumpet, I and all who are with me, then you also blow the trumpets on every side of the whole camp, and say, 'The sword of the LORD and of Gideon! Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers -- they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing -- and they cried, "The sword of the LORD and of Gideon!" [Judges 7:18-20]

OT = Patterns Concealed NT = Patterns Revealed

1. Priests in OT by blood birth – Priests in NT are by blood of Christ

2. OT blood covers sin -- NT – Blood takes away sin.

3. OT Shofar broke down Physical Walls [Jericho]—In NT it breaks down spiritual walls.

LONG TONE: Coming of the King – a call to worship and praise.
3 SHORT NOTES: We are broken to be judged - repentance
RAPID SUCCESSION 9 OR MORE BLASTS: Plea for Mercy.

"And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air," [Ephesians 2:1-2]

"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first." [1 Thessalonians 4:16]

Shofar so Good

It is quite obvious that the Lord is moving in new ways not seen before in our Judeo Christian western world. Many of us have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to draw closer to our spiritual heritage in the use of tallits and the use of the Yemenite Kudo shofar or the Rams horn shofar. The sounding of the Shofar (Trumpet, or rams horn), is becoming a powerful and effective spiritual tool in our efforts to worship and prayer before the Lord. The use of the shofar is very predominant throughout the Holy Scriptures and is used in various aspects of the lives of Gods’ chosen people.

Our ministry has been blessed to have visited over 14 States this year and to sound the shofar over 40 cities across the nation. We believe that by being obedient to this ministry of sounding the shofar, the Lord is doing several things such as;
  1. The worship of King Jesus.
  2. To usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
  3. Calling for the assembly of believers.
  4. Calling for repentance.
  5. To break strongholds over our lives (this is an act of prayer).
  6. To cause confusion in the enemy’s camp.
  7. To tear down the strongholds of the enemy (principalities of darkness over our communities).
"The sounding of the shofar is so important that even the Lord blows the shofar" (Exodus 20:19).

The best example of the sounding of the shofar can be found in the book of Joshua, Chapter 6 verses 4-9. Seven priests went before the Ark as they marched around the walls of Jericho. It is noted that the shofar were blown continuously for 6 days and then on the seventh day at the sounding of the shofar and a great yell from the Israelites the walls of Jericho came crashing down. Another powerful example of the use of the shofar can be found in the book of Judges, Chapter 7 verses 16 – 22. This is the story about Gideon and the three hundred men that the Lord had chosen to defeat the enemy’s armies that well out numbered the Israelites armies.

We are in a day and hour that the Lord is moving in such a wonderful way. We have seen victories after victories through the obedience of sounding the shofar and know that this move of the Holy Spirit is preparing us who are grafted into the vine to pray and war for effectively.

Our web site has several scriptural references to the use of the shofar and can be found at: www.goodtreeministry.com

Scroll down to the button that says "shofars" and then follow the prompts down at the bottom of the page.

We are praying to put together an army of shofar ministers this next year that can be available at times to gather to strategically sound the shofars as the Holy Spirit moves us. Please let us know if you are interested in this type of ministry so that we can get together for training if need and to pray for further direction.
