WHAT DO HEALING ROOMS MEAN FOR MICHIGAN?

Healing Rooms are a non-denominational, para-church ministry that believe and practice Mark 16:17 & 18 - “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name…they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” There are 572 Healing Rooms around the world, and here in Michigan, we are privileged to have 10 Healing Rooms. If you are not familiar with Healing Rooms, then you have a wonderful discovery ahead of you.

Begun in 1915 by John G. Lake in Spokane, Washington; Healing Rooms provide a loving, safe, confidential environment where you can come to receive healing prayer for physical needs, emotional needs, financial needs, relational needs, or spiritual needs. Some are healed instantly by a miraculous touch from God. Others receive their healing progressively over a period of days, weeks or months. With so many in Michigan lacking health insurance due to lost jobs, working only part-time with no benefits, or retired with limited income and benefits; Healing Rooms are a vital and growing ministry in Michigan. Then, there are others who have incurable diseases such as cancer, MS, diabetes, CF, schizophrenia, and infertility, who; apart from God’s healing Word, have no hope.

All of us are aware that in these days of “…wars and rumors of wars…” (Matt. 24:6) and natural disasters; we may not always have the availability of immediate healthcare and medicines. To this end, we need to begin to experience Jesus as our ‘Healer’ as well as our ‘Savior’. This is the ministry of Healing Rooms.
