Questions & Answers

Transformation Michigan

  1. What is "Transformation"?
To be changed in form; an act or operation of changing the form or external appearance; the change of a soul into divine substance; the change of heart in man on an individual basis; can be applied in scope to a larger region, locality, state and nation. Transformation impacts societies as a whole because of Divine intervention.

  2. What is Transformation Michigan?
It is a statewide prayer movement that will energize, network and connect 83 counties in the state of Michigan as it moves from region to region. This will nurture the formation of 24 hour a day 7 day a week prayer, praise and worship. Day and night prayer will arise in our state 365 days a year [See 24/7 Below] in 1 and 2 hour time segments connecting the greater body of Christ.

  3. Who is able to participate and connect to this prayer network?
Every church stream or denomination is able to participate. Non-denominational churches as well as home churches, state prayer and focus groups, and legislators in state government will be able to be a part. The universities in our state as well as high schools and middle schools within their campus and youth groups will be able to connect. Even state prisons can be connected and networked into this prayer movement because there are Christians who dwell within those institutions. It will cross all the racial divides, genders, and bridge the generations.

  4. Is Transformation Michigan another organization?
The answer is yes and no. An organization is defined as: the act of forming or arranging the parts of a compound or complex body in suitable manner for use or service; the act of distributing into suitable divisions and appointing the proper officers as an army or a government. In the confines of this definition there will be no banner that flies over Transformation Michigan. Nameless and faceless people are arising that will give it a life of its own across our state. They will come together with many known and prominent individuals who had this same "seed of vision" previously cast within their hearts. Transformation Michigan is a gathering ministry that supports the local church. We are not interested in control or exerting authority over others as we gather together "as one".

The purpose of Transformation Michigan is to operate with Christ as the head. Each part of the body of Christ must maintain its autonomy and co-labor together within its specific design and purpose. The authority given by God to each church, individual, or state prayer or focus group in the body of Christ is not to be supplanted in the various counties we live in. Let the thumb function as a thumb and let the arm function as the arm. We all need to be under the authority of the functioning part we exist in but not make others become the part where we are called to fulfill His purposes. Christ is the head. Love will be the lubrication for the joints of the body to make this a reality. We must come under and around the head - Jesus Christ - as we each have a purpose to accomplish the final assignment.

  5. What is the format of Transformation Michigan regional gatherings?
The format is a marriage of praise, prayer and worship. A 3 Fold Cord of praise and worship will come together with pro-active delegated prayer. Music and song at times can be divisive in the body of Christ. We are different but must humble ourselves and pay deference to one another. So the format will include three different praise/worship formats. The gathering will move from hymns to contemporary and into spontaneous new song. Each stage will be defined where people will be comfortable and at ease and be able to respectfully leave at any time. This gathering is not a form of entertainment or a concert but will be a continuous flow of prayer and praise unto the most high God. The body of Christ will cross pollinate within this 3 Fold Cord of prayer, praise and worship.

During our gatherings instruction, encouragement and training will also be provided in order to cover our state with a prayer shield and cast a net into the harvest for souls.

  6. What is pro-active delegated prayer?
There are many issues to pray for. Some people identify with particular areas more than others. There are people who have focused heart issues and a calling to pray for our state and our nation in a specific area. Others have other prayer burden areas which may be the youth, the courts, the coming elections, issues such as abortion and marriage, Israel as well as a host of prayer targets. They are equally important but God will bring to the surface a unified prayer thrust for a season of time for the whole body of Christ to target simultaneously in agreement and one accord.

Those who have a burden to pray for a particular area will be called forward to agree with people in the gathering with that prayer petition brought forth. Praise and worship from God's people will bring additional life to the prayers. Cohesiveness and unity in prayer of the body of Christ will bring a commanded blessing of answered prayer [Psalm 133].

  7. What is meant by gatherings moving regionally across the state and why?
Meetings will occur 6-12 times a year in larger conference or smaller local settings. Distance and various costs involved are a factor for some people to attend. Providing an accessible venue will energize the prayer movement across our state. This in turn fuels the furnace for 24/7 day and night prayer where churches and prayer groups can enter in and be part of a larger statewide picture. This will re-vitalize and encourage praying people across our state and provide an opportunity for others across streams in the body of Christ to join in.

  8. Who will take charge and organize the gathering in any particular region?
God has delegated local, regional and state authorities to bring forth what is necessary in any given region. This responsibility embodies the whole body of Christ. The obvious challenge is to have an attitude of humility and work together as one. Co-laboring together versus control and ruling over must be overcome by God's grace. There is safety in the multitude of counselors and each region across denominational streams can provide adequate input. God has hidden and known leadership in each region as well as in our state. The Holy Spirit will prompt those in that particular season of time and they will arise with great wisdom with an attitude of submission to one another..

  9. I have the same "seed of vision" in my heart - are you duplicating what I am doing?
The answer is no. We are in a season of multiplied vision and favor where nameless and faceless people are arising across our state. Many individuals and focus groups in Michigan have attempted and are already bringing forth a part of what is being described above. Others have tried and have become discouraged. This is not to be a competition where strife, envy, and jealousies are to rise up. We need each other as each part of the body of Christ has something to offer. We must contend with the enemy of our souls and not each other!

DUPLICATION is a good thing as it is multiplication of God's plan and purposes. Connecting the "seeds of vision" across our state will enlarge the "tent pegs" and connect 83 counties in a new way which will lead to a protective prayer shield developing over Michigan that will face any challenges Michigan will face. Connecting the seeds of vision will invigorate those who have felt that they are Isolated and alone. They will now be networked with a greater body of Christ in our state. A new hope will arise and prayer at the grassroots will be energized. There is not to be competition, but instead cooperation among the members in the body of Christ. The north, south, east and west is now coming together in Michigan in a new fresh way.

  10. What is a representative "House of Prayer" in a county?
    * It can be a church that regularly meets for prayer (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) who have a desire to see the region, state and nation they represent transformed for Christ.

    * It can be a group of people who gather together in a church, home, or neutral location in prayer.

  11. Why is Transformation Michigan connecting with so many prayer focus groups?
We need each other for us to accomplish the total vision in this present day prayer movement. Aligning "as one" under the head Jesus Christ will enable each to accomplish the assigned task. Each focus group has a sphere of influence that can be networked and connected for the bigger picture to be accomplished. We each hold a piece of God's plan and must depend on one another - as all parts of the body needs to function together.

24/7/365 – DAY AND NIGHT PRAYER!

"Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand." [Mat 12:25]
  1. What does 24/7/365 day and night prayer mean?
It literally means to pray 24 hours a day - seven days a week - over a time span of 365 days a year. The day is split up in 1 and 2 hour time segments where various prayer groups, churches, focus groups, etc will take part. The burden of prayer will be shared over 83 counties in our state which provides a large pool of individuals who have heart of prayer. Each week has 84 two hour time segments times 52 weeks which comprises one year.

  2. What is the purpose and importance of day and night prayer?
Every revival, visitation, or move of God, has been preceded by prayer. Jesus said His house would be called a house of prayer and that a house divided cannot stand. The Bible says to pray without ceasing The numerous references in God's Word regarding persistent and consistent prayer clearly define the need especially in the day that we are in. The world is presently shaking and we need unified prayer.

  3. Is praise and worship in music and song necessary as we gather?
The answer is yes and no! Music and song certainly can take people off the rock pile as they pray. It is a great help to get people to focus. Singing songs of praise and thanksgiving before we pray can set a conducive atmosphere. Many say the marriage of praise, prayer and worship is the rebuilding of the Tabernacle of David of Acts 15:16. Others say it is like filling a bowl up in heaven with our prayers. People come together and pray in different ways. Some may sit or some may stand. Some pray in a vocal way, while others will rest in silence and pray. God allows freedom, so pray as you feel the Lord will lead you to pray. If you choose not to worship and praise God in song but instead just pray your petitions will be honored as God hears.

  4. What if our church chooses to pray in its own building with its own format?
God answers prayer. Nobody is to force others into being what they are not. God is given each body a specific design and purpose to fulfill a calling to extend His Kingdom purposes. We are to respect each other and not to look down upon one another. Each part is unique in its function and all things will work together for good. The call is to pray according to how God and his Holy Spirit is leading! Most churches will choose to pray in their own facility as this 24/7 plan unfolds!

  5. Can our existing prayer meetings be incorporated into the 24/7 state prayer?
Most definitely! Many regions in our state already have a persistent and consistent prayer going up and have labored faithfully for years. The dots are being connected across our state county by county, church by church, prayer group by prayer group and individual by individual.

  6. Who will take those early morning two hour time segments?
Within these early morning and late night prayer segments may be the time of greatest blessing or where a visitation of God may occur. By faith God is already preparing a people across 83 counties in Michigan to take these times for that right time and direction given by God.

  7. How will this be coordinated?
Everything is a process that depends on the grace of God along with his favor and blessing. We walk by faith and not by sight. The laborers are stepping forward now county by county. God will provide the needed manpower and finances. It is you in the body of Christ who are needed at this time. Every part must function and respond to the call. Do you feel the stirring now to be part of 24/7/365? Now is the time! The Transformation Michigan web site - www.Transformmi.com - will help with others in the process. It will be a communication and networking point as the plan unfolds. The Transformation Michigan E-Mail update newsletter will also help in the communication process.

  8. Isn't this vision too big for any one person or one group to bring forth?
The answer is a resounding YES!. All parts of the body of Christ are needed to cooperate, network, connect and be encouragers and exhorters of one another. It will truly be a work of co-labor where no one person, group, or organization can take credit. Jesus Christ will receive all the glory, because it is by His grace where all things are possible. Our children and grandchildren are at stake. We have an opportunity to be history makers and transform our state. Who will rise up and take their place?
